    Find a quiet place, preferably where you can observe and appeciate some of God's beautiful creation. Begin with praise and thanksgiving. Once you start naming the things you have to be thankful for it's amazing how many things we have just been taking for granted. Then ask God to open your eyes and ears to hear and see what He wants to communicate to you today. Read a portion of scripture and ask God to help you apply it to your life.

    That is a very Biblical concept, "Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name." Psalm 100:4
    I heard a man of worship once say that this is how you can always be assured to experience the presence of God.

    Probably the most difficult things to do in our generation is to quiet our spirits, and just rest and listen to His heart.. I think if we can learn to deeply and radically guard that part of our being that is in tune with Him, it is a big key to how sensitive we are to His Voice. This can be done whether we're on the Net, or at work, ministering or during family time, etc. In HIm we live and move and have our being. HE is our source of Strength, Peace, Wisdom.. without Him... we walk in darkness.
